The Student Peace Prize (SPP) is awarded every other year during ISFiT – the International Student Festival in Trondheim – to a student or student organization that has made an outstanding contribution to peace, freedom, democracy, and human rights. The purpose of the prize is to highlight the laureate’s work and to create a platform for even greater impact in the future. It also aims to generate both national and international recognition of students as a driving force for change.The Student Peace Prize is also a section within ISFiT. As a volunteer in SPP, you are therefore a volunteer within ISFiT, sharing a vibrant and social community while often working on projects that connect different parts of the organization. Do you want to work with following up, supporting, and promoting the laureate of the Student Peace Prize – from nomination to the award ceremony and beyond?As Assistant Head of Laureate, you hold responsibility for the follow-up of the prize winner and for the processes leading up to the selection of the Student Peace Prize laureate for 2027.
As Assistant Head of Laureate, you are responsible for leading the laureate project together with the Head of Laureate. You hold an important position within the Leauriate team in Student Peace Prize, ensuring the follow-up of the prize winner and overseeing the processes that lead to the selection of the next laureate. You keep contact with the Nomination Committee (NU), the Peace Committee, and the Peace Tour, and you make sure the laureate is well supported – organizationally, practically, and personally.
The position requires both structure and empathy, offering you the chance to combine project management, international cooperation, and meaningful work for peace. You will take on an assistant leadership role with both responsibility and freedom, working closely with laureates and national organizations, and following the process from start to finish – from nominations to the Peace Tour.
Through this role, you will gain valuable experience in project management, international collaboration, and human rights work. You will become part of an engaged and social environment through ISFiT and the Student Peace Prize, gaining insight into how the organization works with peace and student activism on an international level.
The position also includes opportunities to travel – during the nomination process and during the Peace Tour – giving you a unique and hands-on experience of how the Student Peace Prize brings peace work to life in practice.
Your main responsibilities:
- Work with and explore the laureate project and the follow-up of the prize winner
- Work with the Nomination Committee (NU): recruitment, coordination, and planning of the nomination process
- Ensure that NU has the necessary resources and structure – including planning weekends, travel, and working schedules
- Build and follow up the Peace Committee in collaboration with NSO (Norwegian Student Organization) and SAIH
- Plan and assist in leading the Peace Tour before ISFiT, where the laureate visits universities and organizations across Norway
-T ake part in the planning of the announcement, ceremony, and logistics related to the laureate’s visit
Previous experience is not required – what matters most is motivation, initiative, and the ability to make things happen.

As Head of Administration, you are responsible for coordinating and supporting the work of the Student Peace Prize across its subgroups. You help ensure that the projects have the structure, financing, and clarity they need to succeed. The role gives you insight into all parts of the organization, and you will work with strategy, budgeting, operations, and archiving.
In addition, the administration has room for its own creative initiatives – such as coffee campaigns, art exhibitions, or other outreach projects on behalf of the Student Peace Prize. Here, creativity truly sets the limits.
In this role, you will gain valuable experience in project management, financial coordination, and strategic organizational development. You take on a leadership position with both responsibility and freedom, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate with partners such as NSO, SAIH, and ISFiT. At the same time, you become part of a social and committed community within ISFiT and the Student Peace Prize – a place where people learn, build experience, and grow together.
The position also includes opportunities to travel in connection with laureate visits and the Peace Tour, giving you a unique understanding of how the Student Peace Prize is built and how it becomes a meaningful platform that amplifies the work of its laureates.

As Head of Peace Project, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and carrying out a project that builds on the work of one or more former laureates. The goal is to strengthen long-term connections, create positive ripple effects, and ensure that the Student Peace Prize remains a living and relevant platform for student engagement.
The Peace Project is a flexible and creative position that gives you broad freedom to shape the content and direction of the project based on your own ideas, in dialogue with former winners and in collaboration with the rest of the board. You can choose to work closely with other groups within the Student Peace Prize – such as Communications or Administration – or run the project more independently.
The project itself can take many forms: it might focus on supporting the continued work of past laureates, on storytelling or outreach, on art or activism, or on new ways of engaging students in the work for peace.

As Head of Communication for the Student Peace Prize (SPP), you will have overall responsibility for all external communication – from media relations and social media to press releases and campaigns.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to combine creativity with strategic communication. You will gain valuable experience in press work, media relations, and project management, while also building networks in both the media industry and the human rights field.
As Head of Communication, you take on a leadership role that gives you both responsibility and freedom – a space where you can experiment, explore new ideas, and grow as both a communicator and a leader.The position gives you a unique chance to bring the Student Peace Prize to the world and ensure that its message sparks real engagement and change. At the same time, you become part of an inspiring and social environment through ISFiT and the Student Peace Prize, where collaboration, creativity, and community are at the heart of everything we do.The work also includes opportunities for travel – both in connection with visits to the laureate and during the Peace Tour – where you will help share the story of the prize with students and organizations across Norway.

Om Studentenes fredspris
Studentenes fredspris(SPP) er en pris som deles ut annenhvert år under ISFiT til en student eller studentorganisasjon som har utmerket seg i arbeidet for fred, frihet, menneskerettigheter og demokrati. Prisen har som formål å løfte frem vinnernes arbeid og å lage en plattform for enda større impact i fremtiden. Prisen skal også skape nasjonal og internasjonal oppmerksomhet og anerkjennelse av studenters rolle som drivkraft for endring. Studentenes fredspris er også en seksjon i ISFiT. Som frivillig i Studentenes fredspris er man derfor frivillig i ISFiT, hvor man har et felles sosialt miljø og gjerne jobber med prosjekter på tvers av seksjoner i organisasjonen.

I tillegg til dette har administrasjonen rom for å drive med egne prosjekter som kaffekampanje, kunstutstillinger og andre outreach ideer på vegne av Studentenes Fredspris–her er det kreativiteten som setter grenser!
I rollen får du erfaring med prosjektledelse, økonomistyring og strategisk organisasjonsarbeid. Fredsprosjektet er et fleksibelt og kreativt verv – du får stor frihet til å utforme innholdet i prosjektet ut fra egne idéer, dialog med tidligere vinnere, og i samarbeid med resten av styret. Du kan velge å jobbe tett med andre grupper i Studentenes fredspris – som kommunikasjon eller administrasjon – eller drive prosjektet mer selvstendig.
Prosjektet kan ta mange former: det kan handle om støtte til tidligere vinneres arbeid, formidlingsprosjekter, kunst, samarbeid med andre organisasjoner, eller nye måter å engasjere studenter i fredsarbeid

Gjennom vervet får du muligheten til å kombinere kreativitet med strategisk kommunikasjon. Du vil utvikle verdifull erfaring med pressearbeid, kommunikasjon og prosjektledelse, og samtidig bygge nettverk innen både mediebransjen og menneskerettighetsfeltet. Som kommunikasjonsleder får du en lederrolle med både ansvar og frihet – et rom der du kan eksperimentere, prøve deg frem og vokse som formidler og leder.
Rollen gir deg en unik mulighet til å løfte Studentenes fredspris ut i verden og bidra til at prisens budskap skaper faktisk engasjement og endring. Samtidig blir du en del av et inspirerende og sosialt miljø gjennom ISFiT og Studentenes fredspris, der samarbeid, kreativitet og fellesskap er sentralt.
