The Participant Section of ISFiT27 is dedicated to creating a seamless and inspiring experience for every participant - from the moment they apply until they leave the festival. Our work involves coordinating recruitment and selection of participants from around the world, and supporting both international participants and the volunteers in Trondheim who make this possible. We ensure that everyone can join us for an unforgettable ISFiT experience. The section also recruits international ambassadors who help spread the word about ISFiT globally.

As Assistant Head of Participants, your role is to organize and administrate the work around the entire participant experience. You will help other volunteers manage their tasks, keep processes running smoothly, and ensure effective communication within the section. Together with the Head of Participants, you will shape and enhance the participant journey, making sure students from across the globe have the opportunity to come together on a neutral platform for dialogue, debates, and learning.
You will also be part of ISFiT’s Big Board, an advisory body of all section leaders and assistant leaders. Here, we discuss ISFiT’s profile, future development, and cross-sectional collaboration. It’s both a strategic and social arena, offering a unique chance to influence the festival’s direction.

As Head of Participant Interaction, you will lead your section in creating shared spaces where participants and volunteers can connect and get to know each other. Your team will be responsible for organizing exciting events- everything from Snow Day, where some participants experience snow for the very first time, to walking tours in the city center, a hugely popular activity at previous ISFiT festivals. The possibilities are endless, and your creativity will be key to designing memorable experiences for our participants!

Are you interested in working with a specific focus area in the world? Are you curious about how dialogue can shift perspectives? Is conflict resolution a concept that resonates with you? Then we think you should apply to become our new Head of the Dialogue Project at ISFiT27!
As Head of the Dialogue Project, you will lead your board in turning the project into reality. The mission of the Dialogue Project is to conduct conversations and gain a deeper understanding about a focus area in the world that is relevant for the theme of ISFiT27: Changing Winds. We invite students relevant for this theme to Norway 8–10 days before the festival begins for a facilitated dialogue seminar. Your team will play a central role in both shaping the thematic focus and facilitating the dialogue process. In addition, you’ll bring on a group of chefs responsible for serving delicious, locally sourced food during the seminar.
As part of the Dialogue Project, you’ll also have the opportunity to go on exciting and relevant trips, both within Norway and abroad. For preparation, you will receive training by Nansen Fredssenter in how to facilitate and conduct dialogue. You don’t need any prior experience to apply for this position- you’ll receive training and close follow-up, but having a passion for equality and a better world is definitely a plus.

As Workshop Director, you will lead the work of the workshop group within the Participant Section. The workshops are a key part of ISFiT, where our participants engage in activities, discussions, and produce meaningful dialogue during the festival. Together with your team, you will design, develop, and facilitate conversations around the festival theme, create engaging activities, and shape the overall layout of the workshops.

Do you want to be closely involved in selecting the amazing participants who will attend ISFiT27? Are you interested in a role that offers variety and the chance to develop a wide range of skills? Would you like to build connections with people from all over the world? If you answered yes to at least one of these questions, then you should apply to become our new Head of Participant Coordination for ISFiT27!
As Head of Participant Coordination, you will be responsible for recruiting and selecting the approximately 400 participants who will attend ISFiT27. This will be made possible through the development and recruitment of your own Participant Coordination board, which, together with you, will help bring the world’s most inspiring participants to the festival! You will also be responsible for the ambassador program, where we recruit ambassadors from different countries to represent and promote ISFiT and engage more people in their local communities.
In addition, your team will develop the application process and carry out a fair selection procedure to determine who gets to participate in the festival. To achieve this, you will also work with budgeting, accounting, marketing, and more.

Du vil også være en del av ISFiTs Big Board, et rådgivende organ bestående av alle seksjonsledere og assisterende ledere. Her diskuterer vi ISFiTs profil, fremtidig utvikling og samarbeid på tvers av seksjoner. Det er både en strategisk og sosial arena som gir en unik mulighet til å påvirke festivalens retning.

Som leder for deltakerinteraksjon vil du lede teamet ditt i å skape sosiale arenaer der deltakere og frivillige kan møtes og bli kjent. Teamet ditt vil ha ansvar for å organisere spennende arrangementer – alt fra Snow Day, der noen deltakere opplever snø for aller første gang, til byvandringer i sentrum, en svært populær aktivitet på tidligere ISFiT-festivaler. Mulighetene er uendelige, og din kreativitet blir nøkkelen til å skape minneverdige opplevelser for deltakerne!

Som leder for dialogprosjektet vil du lede styret ditt i å gjøre prosjektet til virkelighet. Målet med dialogprosjektet er å gjennomføre samtaler og få en dypere forståelse av et fokusområde i verden som er relevant for ISFiT27-temaet: Changing Winds. Vi inviterer studenter som er relevante for dette temaet til Norge 8–10 dager før festivalen starter for et fasilitert dialogseminar. Teamet ditt vil spille en sentral rolle i både å forme det tematiske fokuset og fasilitere dialogprosessen. I tillegg vil du rekruttere et kokketeam som sørger for å servere deilig, lokal mat under seminaret.
Som en del av dialogprosjektet får du også muligheten til å dra på spennende og relevante turer, både i Norge og i utlandet. Forberedelsen inkluderer opplæring fra Nansen Fredssenter i hvordan man fasiliterer og gjennomfører dialog. Du trenger ingen tidligere erfaring for å søke denne stillingen – du vil få opplæring og tett oppfølging, men en lidenskap for likestilling og en bedre verden er absolutt et pluss.

Som leder for workshops vil du lede arbeidet til workshopgruppen i deltakerseksjonen. Workshopene er en sentral del av ISFiT, der deltakerne engasjerer seg i aktiviteter, diskusjoner og skaper meningsfull dialog under festivalen. Sammen med teamet ditt vil du designe, utvikle og fasilitere samtaler rundt festivaltemaet, lage engasjerende aktiviteter og forme den overordnede strukturen for workshopene.

Som leder for deltakerkoordinering vil du ha ansvar for rekruttering og utvelgelse av omtrent 400 deltakere til ISFiT27. Dette blir mulig gjennom utviklingen og rekrutteringen av ditt eget deltakerkoordineringsteam, som sammen med deg skal bringe verdens mest inspirerende deltakere til festivalen!
