YES to "Walk of Peace"
On Tuesday July 27 the Chairmanship of Trondheim said ”yes” to creating a “Walk of Peace” in Jomfrugata in Trondheim, by initiative from ISFiT.

Hollywood has had their Walk of Fame for a long time, but in Trondheim's version the laureates of the Student Peace Prize will be honored. Hollywood Boulevard is characterized by stars drafted to the ground, but it is not yet decided how it will look in Trondheim, that will be determined after a design competition among students.
The new “Walk of Peace” will give visibility and more attention to the laureates and their cause. It will also provide extra attention to the fact that Trondheim is the only city in the world that awards a peace prize to students. The prize is handed out every second year, during the ISFiT festival, on behalf of all students in Norway.
The «Walk of Peace» will be funded mainly by the ISFiT-foundation. ISFiT was first held 20 years ago, in 1990, and the”Walk of Peace” is a nice way for ISFiT to give something back to the city on the festivals 20th anniversary.
