-Why could not Sunni and Shea Muslims gather in one religion, they could call it sushi-Islam, Aron Kader suggests from the stage. Storsalen bursts into laughter. In his show at Samfundet Thursday night, Aron kader jokes about everything from catholic priest to the performances of the Norwegian ski team.
A controversial comedian
Kader is a comedian that is not afraid of joking about controversial things such as religion.
-It happens sometimes that my jokes offend people, especially Arabic people who do not like that I joke about their culture, but in the end they all laugh, he says.
He thinks humor is a great way to bring people from different cultures together.
-Humor brings people closer, it may even bring people to have intercourse, he says in his own humoristic way, making a reference to his own multicultural background, grown up whit a Palestinian father and Mormon mother.

Scared to perform for students
-I am always scared to perform for students, basically because many of the students are not that smart. They are young, and often do not have enough knowledge and experiences to understand my jokes. The students at a festival like ISFiT on the other hand, I think has a more reflected world view, so I am not that nervous before the show this evening, he says.
He definitely had no reason to worry before tonight’s show. Storsalen was filled to the brink and the atmosphere was ecstatic.
A show about everything
-Mormons often want to send me out on a mission to spread the word of God, but we Palestinians do not often come back from missions, he says from stage. Storsalen once again bursts out in laughter followed by applaud. There was much laughter and applaud in Storsalen this night. -I try to alter the show a little, depending on where I am performing, in Arabic countries I can do more inside jokes about their culture, while in the US I have to generalize more, he says. Through the show he balanced between jokes about everything from Arabian and American stereotypes to the difference between men and women. The audience embraced the man from the start, and Kader delivered a stand up show Storsalen never will forget.
