The Crazy Circus

Storsalen was fully packed at the show by Circus KhaOom on Wednesday and the mood amongst the audience was electric. The show ended in standing applause and with that this year's theme party, Circus Spectacular, opened.

-The party exceeds all expectations. Not just Circus KhaOom, but the entire Circus Spectacular. The decorations, the variety of entertainment and everything, it is amazing, one of the participants said before she ran off after her friends to do some more dancing.

A Raveling Show

The hall was covered in blue smoke. Its circus inspired roof and colors, complimented the show perfectly. The audience were enchanted as they watched acrobats played with ropes and swings, fascinating, limber movement and coordination, jugglers, singers in daring outfits, balance at its best, humorous scene changes and a man in a balloon, all accompanied by a rock band that played in the background. The highlight was probably a dramatic tissue performance, starring two female and one male acrobat swinging in ropes with an inhumane speed.

A crazy, colorful, catching and chancy show by talent without comparison. - The circus was cool, said David from Ecuador. His friends agreed, and they had enjoyed the musical concept when they saw the show together with the rest of the participants on Tuesday.

The Circus Continues

The party continued in the rest of the red, round house. The open scene at Klubben was a great success, and anyone could sign up for their own circus show, and the diversity was astonishing. The audience jumped and cheered, and sang along on the lyrics they knew. In Edgar Madame Ederleizie read your fortunes, and she was never wrong according to herself.

The dress code was liberal, and people came dressed as clowns, pandas and gypsies. Some had put on their circus tights, and other had wrapped themselves in potato chips and plastic wrap. One third of the faces were decorated with face paint, and balloons were everywhere. -The party is unique, said Lala from Indonesia. She were sitting in Edgar, playing games with her friends, with face paint on and a smile in her face. Around the table were laughter and good mood.

In Rundhallen you could buy popcorn and cotton candy, and while waiting you could get a balloon hat or animal. Outside Daglighallen a Hot Dog stand were offering Hot Dogs to all the hungry night people, in real circus style.

Fabulous Finale

Manatee Racket raised the mood at Knaus at midnight. Electronic rock with associations to bands such as The Wombats and The Kooks got the audience to swing to the beats. It was a lively performance with funny lyrics and speedy tunes. This was their third time at Studentersamfundet, and so far their best, lead vocal Anders Fjellberg said. He thought it was great to perform at a festival like ISFiT.

The time drew closer to two, but people were still partying in the halls. The fantastic evening got a marvelous ending, and tired and exhausted people were herded out the doors and on their way home. With the circus stuck on their minds, people wandered home.
