Yara becomes first main partner
ISFiT 2009 can proudly present our first main partner! In April the financial section of ISFiT closed the deal with Yara. Yara is an international company which converts energy and nitrogen into essential products for farmers and industrial customers.

ISFiT 2009 strongly condemns the murder of opposition leader and former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto. The death of Bhutto and the other victims of the attack is deeply tragic and we share the sorrow of the Pakistani people. We strongly disapprove of the use of such violent acts as a political mean, and urge the government and the people of Pakistan together with the international community to work for a safe and calm development of the situation in Pakistan, by reaching for stability through peaceful political dialogue.

-I am really looking forward to meet you, was the salute to the future ISFiT participants. In tonights election at Studentersamfundet the majority voted Trygve Thorson (23) from Hemsedal as the next President of ISFiT with 118 votes to 79 in the Grand Hall at Studentersamfundet.

ISFiT 2009 has received a message from the Student Peace Prize 2007 Laureate, Charm Tong, concerning the current situation in Burma. ISFiT supports the movement for a democratic Burma, and we would like to join Charm Tong in condemning the regime's violent response to the ongoing demonstrations.
