UN International Volunteer Day on December 5th

The UN International Volunteer Day will be marked across the world on Friday the 5th of December.
Many people spend a lot of time on volunteer work, both on a local, national and international level. This work is often invaluable and leads to the attainment of important and positive results. ISFiT is a good example of this, as it is arranged by volunteering students of Trondheim.
The Volunteer Day will set focus on all kinds of voluntariness, and the importance of this work. The day will be marked several places around the world. In Trondheim, there will be a torchlight procession from “torvet” to “Vår Frue Kirke” at 17:00. The volunteer prize of Trondheim kommune will be awarded, and later there will be a concert for all volunteers. See here for more info.
